Michael has worked as an attorney specializing in aviation cases since 2008.  He had spent nearly a decade with the prestigious Kreindler & Kreindler law firm where he worked on numerous wrongful death and serious injuries cases arising from aviation accidents.

  • In Re: Air Crash near Belle Harbour (United States District Court for the Southern District of New York)

    Case involving the crash of American Airlines Flight 587 over Queens, New York resulting in the tragic loss of loss of 265 persons.  A favorable settlement was reached with the defendants.​

  • Linfoot v. DynCorp International, et al. (United States District Court for the Middle District of  Tennessee and United States District Court for the District of Delaware)

    Case involving the catastrophic injury of two U.S. Army Special Operations pilots involved in the crash of military helicopter while on a mission near Baghdad, Iraq.  Michael was one of the lead attorneys in this highly complex personal injury action against multiple government contractors. The focus of which was on the maintenance of a key component (the engine-to-transmission driveshaft) of the accident aircraft.  A favorable settlement was reached with the maintenance contractor.

  • In Re: Hudson River Mid-Air Collision (United States District Court for the District of New Jersey)

    Case involving the a mid-air collision over the Statue of Liberty between a commercial helicopter and private plane.  Michael was one of the attorneys representing the family of the helicopter pilot.

    A favorable settlement was reached with the United States, representing Air Traffic Control.

  • Bonn, et al v. L-3 Communications Vertex Aerospace (United States District Court for the Northern District of Florida)

    Case involving the crash of a United States Navy T-39 aircraft which collided with terrain in Georgia during a training exercise which resulted in the deaths of the retired Navy pilot and three active-duty  servicemembers.

  • McMahon v. ThyssenKrupp, et al. (Circuit Court for Knox County Tennessee)

    ​Case involving severe injury to an airline employee whom was run over by a jet bridge causing the loss of a leg.  An action was brought against defendants for negligence and product liability and a favorable settlement was reached with the manufacturer of the jet bridge as well as other defendants.

  • ​D'Jamoos, et al.  v. Pilatus Aircraft Ltd. (United States District Court for the E.D. of Pennsylvania)

    ​Case involving crash of a Pilatus PC-12 aircraft resulting in the deaths of six persons aboard.  An action was brought against Pilatus for the defective design of the aircraft, including the stick pusher system.  A favorable settlement was reached with the manufacturer.
